Android is now the top-selling smart-phone
I had a friend tell me yesterday that she won’t get an iPhone because she won’t subscribe to an American trend. She told me this over Beluga from her Android phone… Looks like she is officially subscribing to the number one smart-phone American trend afterall.
I think both Android and iPhone have their positives and negatives, I just prefer Apple devices. I think the overall quality of the device itself is better and more consistent, than the multitude of manufacturers spitting out sub-par touch screens. That being said, quality Android devices DO indeed exist, but it’s just turning into another Apple vs. PC debate. The only difference here is that Apple is actually affordable.
My computers will likely always be PC’s, but my mobile devices will always be Apple. With the iPad 2 coming with iMovie and Garage Band, I’ll have the best of both worlds.
One last thought here, and that is that no matter how great Android is, it will always be playing catch-up. It may be more open-source, and sometimes put “what the user wants” on before Apple does (camera, multi-tasking, etc), but at the end of the day, it has to if it wants to compete.
